The curriculum prescribed by the Board of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka is being followed. It is similar to the one applicable to other Polytechnics in the State, catering to normal students.

Examination and Evaluation system also is the same as those applicable to the normal students.

Admission to first year Diploma courses is on all India basis. The students are selected by a Committee consisting of Medical experts, Academicians, Industrialists and Government representatives.

Eligibility is a pass in Karnataka SSLC (i,e 10th Std.) or it's equivalent examination.                              

Disability percentage for orthopaedically Differently Abled is 40% and above and for hearing impaired is 70 db and above.

The polytechnic is provided with well qualified and motivated teaching and non-teaching staff. Six staff members of this Polytechnic have undergone special training in Canada and other foreign countries on the programs and services for the Disabled.
